Not all carbon bikes are created equal. In fact, the first element that distinguishes GURU's home-grown composites program is that no two carbon frames we produce are alike. We make each one from scratch – we're the only ones who do it all in-house – according to individual cyclist specifications. Based on this singular approach, we have developed a series of innovative methods that redefine the limits of carbon manufacturing to deliver superior performance:
Rigorous F.E.A. modelling results in optimal layup configurations and shapes that fully capitalize on the tensile strength of carbon fiber.
Alternative lay-up options allow for optimization of ride quality and durability based on rider size and power output.
High-modulus carbon composition features an exceptional 70/30 fiber-to-resin ratio (far superior to the industry norm). Maximum carbon fiber results in optimal stiffness and greater dampening of high-frequency vibrations; minimum resin means less weight.
Unique, internally pressurized bladder molding results in a true monocoque carbon construction with no seams or voids. Carbon fibers are thus permitted to cross-link in an optimal, multi-layered manner.
Use of unidirectional fiber allows for a pinpointed carbon layup, avoiding the ride-compromising "overbuild" that is common in the industry.
Meticulous part machining produces a tapered inner profile that generates a more fluid transmission of loads and eliminates stress risers.
